Going on a trip with your dog?

Are you planning a trip with your dog?
Are you flying or driving?
Will your pet be in a crate or roam free?
There are many things to think about when planning a trip when you own a dog.
Hotel
Don’t forget to check the hotel you will be staying at; is it pet friendly? A lot of hotels will charge a fee for your fur baby so make sure to read up on how much it is and where the dog spots are for bathroom breaks.
Food
Does your dog require a certain brand of food? Is it dry or wet food and if it’s wet, does it need to be refrigerated? Make sure you have enough for the trip and see if your destination has a way to get more if needed.
All furry friends need a toy so make sure that their favorite comfort toy is within reach.
Meds
Now don’t forget the most important thing. If your pet requires medication or supplements, make sure to pack them in your carry on in a well labeled package. Some dogs are not good flyers so did your vet prescribe a calming vitamin? Also don’t forget to pack the pet’s vaccination records, just in case you are stopped at a counter and asked to provide information.
